VeRSI Security & Access Workshop 2008
VeRSI held a Security and Access Workshop, our second, for the Department of Primary Industries on March 18 2008 at the Monash Conference Centre in Melbourne.
The goal of the workshop was to introduce to the Department of Primary Industries, and others involved in Victorian government security, the modern identity management systems that are under development by the Australian Access Federation (AAF). The workshop also provided an opportunity to demonstrate what VeRSI has already achieved in implementing the AAF recommendations and the MAMS IAMSuite for the management of Virtual Organisations (VOs).
Further information about the MAMS IAMSuite, and Shibboleth, is available from the 2007 Security and Access Workshop website.
The workshop was chaired by A.B.M. Russel, the VeRSI eResearch Project Leader, and organised by Palka Arora, the VeRSI Security Specialist. Viviani Paz, Project Manager at AAF and Security Assurance Manager at AusCERT, provided an overview of the AAF for Research and Higher Education.
