Michael D'Silva: Software Engineer

Michael is a Software Engineer for VeRSI.

His duties include the design and development of eResearch software as well as database design, and the implementation of policy and technology frameworks necessary for supporting shared environments. His current projects include implementing a collaborative working environment by developing the Virtual BeamLine at the Australian Synchrotron. The VBL enables users to access experiments and collaborate remotely. In addition, he is also involved in several of VeRSI's life science projects, such as the Genome Data Mining and the Laboratory Data Management projects.

Prior to joining VeRSI Michael was involved in creating a Web Service Management System that involved integrating loosely coupled management information systems in business environments by investigating the implementation of SOA via SOAP Web Services in the Engineering Domain. This project focused on the management infrastructure by investigating standard interfaces and building a new management interface, as required by web services in the engineering space.
