Scientific Data Capture

VeRSI is working with La Trobe University, Monash University and the Australian Synchrotron to develop data capture tools which will capture data and the associated metadata at the time an experiment is performed.

Funded by the Australian National Data Service (ANDS), the Data Capture Service (DCS) will help researchers track their data across time and institutional boundaries. VeRSI has helped build metadata repositories into which this data will flow, not only safeguarding and centralising the information but allowing it to be harvested by Research Data Australia for sharing, publication and reuse.
