Metabolomics Australia is a collaboration of researchers from across Australia undertaking small molecule analysis. VeRSI is supporting this collaboration through the provision of a virtual organisation using the Sakai platform.
The use of Sakai in the project has permitted the Metabolomics Australia members to share work documents, access communications tools, and post nation-wide announcements. They have also been extending its use in new ways, for instance with the inclusion of scheduling of instrument usage in order to maximise utilisation and to prevent double-booking problems.
