Laboratory Supervisor Management System
Researchers at the Victorian Bioinformatics Consortium have engaged with VeRSI and are utilising eResearch methodologies and tools to enable supervisors to remotely engage with their students and provide feedback online.
VeRSI has developed the Laboratory Supervisory Management System (LSMS) to enable the remote supervision of students and scientists in a laboratory setting. Users are able to upload work from their experiments whilst a supervisor can view their progress online and give direction. The LSMS is designed to support the running of multiple labs, as well as to provide a geographically independent means of data management.
Furthermore, the LSMS acts as an organisation system to manage the plethora of data and metadata that these researchers deal with daily.
