Life Science Projects
Home to some of Australia’s top researchers and research facilities, Victoria commands a leading position in life sciences research in Australia.
Due to the significant cost and complexity of these world-class facilities, they are shared among a wide community of scientists and consequently embody the essence of collaboration. In order to maximise the potential of these resources, VeRSI is deploying exemplar projects and eResearch case studies so that work currently being undertaken can demonstrate the benefits of eResearch adoption.
These exemplars include:

- Ambulatory Motion Studies
- Computed Tomography reconstruction
- Genomic Data Mining
- Genomics Virtual Laboratory
- Laboratory Supervisor Management System
- Melbourne Neuropsychiatry Centre
- Metabolomics
- Mouse Brain Map
- Multi-model Data Capture
- Neuroimaging
- Respiration Coach
- UroShare
Not only do these projects act as beacons of eResearch, but they have been specifically selected to enhance the researchers’ capabilities. Through the development of storage, repositories, portals and instrumental interfaces, VeRSI is helping these researchers to achieve the full potential of their research.
