Humanities Database Registry

As is often the case, simply collecting data does not necessarily make it usable or accessible. Though many humanities and social sciences (HASS) researchers at the University of Melbourne have been prolific in their generation of valuable data-sets, this information is currently not easily discoverable or configured in such a way that it would be useful for future research projects.

This project will build infrastructure to connect the HASS community with the University of Melbourne registry which in turn, will communicate the metadata to Research Data Australia. The project will also aim to develop and update the university’s current perseveration, archival, curation and access systems, as well as make sure metadata is standards-compliant.
