Systems Biology for Drug Discovery

Post-genomic era drug discovery takes place in the context of an exponentially growing amount of genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic and chemical data. Making sense of all this information often requires going beyond reductionist models of biology and pharmaclogy. Professor O'Connor's research involves using multiple diverse data types to extend our knowledge of the developmental and molecular signaling pathways dysregulated in disease.
