Applications for the award must be submitted electronically and be received by 5pm on Friday August 29, 2008.

Submissions should be no longer than five pages, excluding the Application Form.

The submission should detail the use of ICT in the research project and how the research has benefited from the use of ICT.
The Application Form details key information about the submission: the title of the research, the names of the principal investigators, their affiliation, a 300 word summary of the project, emphasising the collaborative nature of the project, and endorsement from the Head of the Department at which the Victorian Principal Investigator is based.

The criteria for the award are:

  • The research must be in either the sciences or humanities, arts and social sciences (HASS). Applicants must nominate which category the research falls into on the application form.
  • The Principal Investigator, or one of the principal investigators, must come from a Victorian organisation.
  • The research must be undertaken by Victorian researchers, although it may include collaborators from other States.
  • Applicants must describe their projects and clearly indicate the benefits they are deriving from incorporating ICT in their work.
  • Projects where a Principal Investigator is involved in one of the VeRSI projects are ineligible for consideration for the award.
